Chicks is our dedicated room for children aged from 6 weeks to 2 years.

The baby years are a wonderful time for creating bonds and relationships, learning new skills and experiences every day. We provide an environment for our Chicks that allows them to explore their senses, investigate, use their imagination, create beautiful sounds with musical instruments and so much more.

Each child is assigned a Key Person, this will be someone who your child has formed a bond with during their first 6 weeks with us. Their key person will be your point of contact and will closely work with you throughout your little ones journey in Chicks room. They are also responsible for supporting your childs learning and development, providing meaningful, enriching activities and most importantly making them feel safe, secure and comforted.

We operate an app called ‘Famly’ this is free to download on smartphones. We use this app for

• Uploading meals, sleeps times, nappy changes and creams
• Sending you photos throughout the day
• Sharing news and updates
• Uploading detailed monthly observations
• Parents can share and upload on their childs profile
• Sharing celebrations and much more

In our chicks room we do not have a ‘routine’ as we follow your baby’s routine at home. It is important to us that during their first settling session we discuss their routine to ensure we can continue to follow it here at Nursery.

We follow a minimum ratio of 1 member of staff to 3 babies.
